A produção de HCl pelo estômago, quando excessiva, forma uma solução aquosa com pH igual a 2, a 25ºC, levando à acidez estomacal. Para atenuar esse sintoma, é comum a ingestão de leite de magnésia, uma suspensão de Mg(OH)2.
a) Apresente as equações químicas balanceadas que representam as reações de neutralização total e parcial entre o HCl e Mg(OH)2.
b) Calcule o volume, em mililitros, de leite de magnésia com concentração igual a 0,04 mol x L-1, necessário para neutralizar completamente 100mL da solução de HCl com pH=2, a 25ºC.

Re: Neutralização e soluções
a) [tex3]HC\ell_{(aq)}+ Mg(OH)_{2(s)} \longrightarrow \ Mg(OH)C\ell_{(aq)}+H_2O_{(\ell)}[/tex3]
[tex3]Mg(OH)C\ell_{(aq)}+HC\ell_{(aq)} \longrightarrow MgC\ell_{2(aq)}+H_2O_{(\ell)}[/tex3]
b) [tex3]pH=-\log \left[H^+\right][/tex3]
[tex3]-\log \left[H^+\right]=2[/tex3]
[tex3]\log \left[H^+\right]=-2[/tex3]
[tex3]\left[H^+\right]=10^{-2}=0,01 \ mol/\ell[/tex3]
[tex3]n_{HC\ell}=C_{HC\ell} \cdot V_{(\ell)}=0,01 \cdot 0,1=0,001 \ mol[/tex3]
Como 1 mol de [tex3]Mg(OH)_2[/tex3] reagem com 2 mols de ácido clorídrico, há, em solução, [tex3]\frac{0,001}{2}=0,0005 \ mol[/tex3] de base.
[tex3]C_{MgC\ell_2}=\frac{n_{MgC\ell_2}}{V_{(\ell)}}[/tex3]
[tex3]0,04=\frac{0,0005}{V}[/tex3]
[tex3]V=\frac{5 \times 10^{-4}}{4 \times 10^{-2}}=1,25 \times 10^{-2}=0,0125 \ \ell=12,5 \ m\ell[/tex3]
Espero ter ajudado!
