Determine o valor máximo de [tex3] z = x + 2y[/tex3]
[tex3]x \geq 0, \\
y\geq 0, \\
5x+2y \geq 0, \\
4x-3y \leq 12, \\
7x+9y\leq 63, \\
3x-4y\leq 12.[/tex3]

Re: (IME/ITA) Inequação com duas variáveis
[tex3]x,y\geq 0\Rightarrow 5x+2y\geq 0[/tex3]
[tex3]3x-4y\leq 12 \Leftrightarrow y\geq \frac{3}{4}x-3 \\ 4x-3y\leq 12 \Leftrightarrow y\geq \frac{4}{3}x-4 \\ 7x+9y\leq 63 \Leftrightarrow y\geq 7-x[/tex3]
Portanto, sejam [tex3]x^*,y^*[/tex3] maximizadores de [tex3]z[/tex3] , então colocando [tex3]y^*[/tex3] em função de [tex3]x^*[/tex3] vale que [tex3]\max\left\{0,\frac{3}{4}x^*-3,\frac{4}{3}x^*-4\right\}\leq y^*(x^*)\leq 7-x^*[/tex3] . Como [tex3]x=3=y[/tex3] satisfaz todas as inequações e [tex3]z[/tex3] é crescente em [tex3]x[/tex3] e em [tex3]y[/tex3] , é imediato que [tex3]y^*\geq 3[/tex3] . Logo, [tex3]\max\left\{3,\frac{4}{3}x^*-4\right\}\leq y^*(x^*)\leq 7-x^*[/tex3] , o que implica que [tex3]\max\left\{6+x^*,\frac{11}{3}x^*-8\right\}\leq z^*=2y^*+x^*\leq 14-x^*[/tex3] . Como o valor máximo que [tex3]z[/tex3] pode assumir decresce em [tex3]x[/tex3] devido a inequação da direita, temos que é justamente essa inequação que determinará a solução. Portanto, [tex3]x^*=0, y^*=7[/tex3] e [tex3]z^*=14[/tex3] .
.[tex3]3x-4y\leq 12 \Leftrightarrow y\geq \frac{3}{4}x-3 \\ 4x-3y\leq 12 \Leftrightarrow y\geq \frac{4}{3}x-4 \\ 7x+9y\leq 63 \Leftrightarrow y\geq 7-x[/tex3]
