Olá
\sqrt{x}-1+\frac{1}{x}=x \Rightarrow x(\sqrt{x}-1)=x^2-1
x(\sqrt{x}-1)=(x+1)(\sqrt{x}-1)(\sqrt{x}+1) \Rightarrow (\sqrt{x}-1)[x-(x+1)(\sqrt{x}+1)]=0
\sqrt{x}-1=0 \Rightarrow x=1
x-(x+1)(\sqrt{x}+1)=0 \Rightarrow x=x\sqrt{x}+x+\sqrt{x}+1 \Rightarrow \sqrt{x}(x+1)=-1 não admite raiz real, pois x>0
\therefore x=1 é a única raiz real.

Olá, jomatlove.

\sqrt{x} - 1 + \frac{1}{x} = x \therefore \sqrt{x} = x - \frac{1}{x} + 1 \therefore x = x^2+\frac{1}{x^2}+2x -\frac{2}{x}-1 \therefore \\\\ x \cdot \left( x + \frac{1}{x} \right) -2 \cdot \left( x + \frac{1}{x} \right) + 2x + 2x - x - 1 = 0 , x + \frac{1}{x} = y: \\\\  xy - 2y + 3x - 1 = 0  \therefore xy-2y = 1 - 3x \therefore y \cdot (x-2) = 1-3x \\\\ \Leftrightarrow y = \frac{1-3x}{x-2} \\\\ \Leftrightarrow  x + \frac{1}{x} = \frac{1-3x}{x-2} \therefore x^2 + 1 - 2x - \frac{2}{x} = 1-3x  \therefore  x^2 + x - \frac{2}{x} = 0 \therefore \\\\\ x^3 + x^2 - 2 = 0

Note que a soma dos coeficientes é nula, logo 1 é raiz. Abaixando o grau:

\begin{array} {|c|c|c|c|c|} \hline 1 & 1 & 1 & 0 & -2 \\ \hline & 1 & 2 & 2 & 0 \\ \hline \end{array}

Logo, x^3+x^2-2 = (x-1) \cdot (x^2+2x+2)

Portanto, as outras raízes são: x = \frac{-2\pm 2i}{2} = -1\pm i

Substituindo vê-se que apenas a raiz real serve.

Abraços,
Pedro
