Seja [tex3]ABC[/tex3]
um triângulo isósceles ([tex3]AB=AC[/tex3]
) e retângulo em [tex3]A[/tex3]
. Os pontos [tex3]M[/tex3]
e [tex3]N[/tex3]
estão sobre o lado [tex3]BC[/tex3]
, com [tex3]M[/tex3]
entre [tex3]B[/tex3]
e [tex3]N[/tex3]
, de tal forma que [tex3]BM^2+NC^2= MN^2[/tex3]
. Determine a medida do ângulo [tex3]\hat{MAN}[/tex3]

Pronto. Basta olhar pro [tex3]\triangle MBN'[/tex3] que tem [tex3]\angle MBN' = \angle N'BA + \angle ABM = 45^{\circ} + 45^{\circ} = 90^{\circ}[/tex3] .
Logo, por Pitágoras, [tex3]MN' = MN[/tex3] o que implica que [tex3]\triangle AMN' \cong \triangle AMN[/tex3] por terem os mesmos três lados (caso LLL), o que implica que:
[tex3]\angle MAN = \angle MAN' = \angle BAM + \angle CAN = \angle BAC - \angle MAN \iff 2 \angle MAN = 90^{\circ} \iff \angle MAN = 45^{\circ}[/tex3] .
