Limites
Dado [tex3]g \left(x\right) = \begin{cases} 1 &\text{se } x \in \mathbb{Q} \\ -1 &\text{se } x \notin \mathbb{Q} \end{cases}[/tex3]
. Determine, caso exista, [tex3]\lim_{x \to 0} g \left(x\right)[/tex3]

As modernas teorias científica afirmam que em dentro de 5 bilhões de anos, a humanidade presenciará a morte do sol. Imagine como seria presenciar esse evento...

Re: Limites
Observe
Solução:
Para todo natural n ≠ 0 , existem [tex3]a_{n}[/tex3] e [tex3]b_{n}[/tex3] , [tex3]a_{n}[/tex3] racional e [tex3]b_{n}[/tex3] irracional , tais que
[tex3]0< a_{n} < \frac{1}{n} \ e \ 0 < b_{n} < \frac{1}{n}[/tex3]
Segue , pelo teorema do confronto , que
[tex3]\lim_{n \rightarrow +\infty}a_{n}=0 \ e \ \lim_{n \rightarrow +\infty}b_{n}=0[/tex3]
Como [tex3]\lim_{n \rightarrow +\infty}g(a_{n})=1[/tex3] , pois [tex3]g(a_{n})=1[/tex3] para todo n ≠ 0 , e [tex3]\lim_{n \rightarrow +\infty}g(b_{n})=-1[/tex3] , pois [tex3]g(b_{n})=-1[/tex3] para todo n ≠ 0 , resulta que [tex3]\lim_{x \rightarrow \ 0}g(x)[/tex3] não existe!
Bons estudos!

Re: Limites
Uma solução alternativa:
Temos que;
| g( x ) | ≤ 1
Então;
- 1 ≤ g( x ) ≤ 1
Passando o limite tendendo a zero ( 0 ), vem;
[tex3]-\lim_{x \rightarrow \ 0}1 ≤ \lim_{x \rightarrow \ 0}g(x) ≤ \lim_{x \rightarrow \ 0}1[/tex3]
Como [tex3]-\lim_{x \rightarrow \ 0}1 = -1[/tex3] e [tex3]\lim_{x \rightarrow \ 0}1 = 1[/tex3] , temos uma incoerência nos valores do limite , pois encontramos - 1 e 1 para o mesmo limite, logo o limite dado não existe!
Portanto, [tex3]\lim_{x \rightarrow \ 0}g(x) [/tex3] não existe!
Abraços!
