Se x e y [tex3]\in \mathbb{R}[/tex3] tal que [tex3]x^{4}[/tex3] +4+[tex3]y^{2}[/tex3] =4xy,calcule o valor de (x+2y)(x-2y).

Note que nós temos uma equação do segundo grau em função de [tex3]y[/tex3]

[tex3]y^2 - 4xy + x^4 + 4 = 0[/tex3]

Em que o discriminante vale [tex3]-4(x^2 - 2)^2[/tex3] . Como [tex3]y \in \mathbb{R}[/tex3] , [tex3]x = \pm \sqrt2\,\,\, \Rightarrow \,\,\, y = \pm 2\sqrt2[/tex3]

Portanto,

[tex3](x+2y)(x-2y) = x^2 - 4y^2 = (\pm \sqrt2)^2 - 4(\pm 2\sqrt2)^2 = -30[/tex3]

Resolução
[tex3]x^{2}-4xy+y^4+4=0[/tex3]
Agrupando:
[tex3](x^{4}+4)+(y^2-4xy) =0[/tex3]
[tex3](x^4\underline{-4x^2}+4)+(\underline{4x^2}-4xy+y^2)[/tex3] (método de adicionar e subtrair :+a-a)
Fatorando:
[tex3](x^2-2)^{2}+(y-2x)^{2}=0[/tex3]
sendo x e y são reais,temos:
[tex3]\bullet (x^2-2)^{2}=0\rightarrow x^2=2[/tex3]
[tex3]\bullet (y-2x)^{2}=0\rightarrow y=2x\rightarrow y^2=4x^2=4.2=8[/tex3]
Pede-se:
[tex3]M=(x+2y)(x-2y)[/tex3]
[tex3]M=x^2-4y^2[/tex3]
[tex3]M=2-4.8=2-32=-30[/tex3]
[tex3]\therefore \boxed{M=-30}[/tex3]
