Inicialmente, considere [tex3]\displaystyle \mathtt{\widehat{C} = \alpha}[/tex3]
. Feito isto, tiramos diversas conclusões a cerca da figura... Por exemplo, o quadrilátero [tex3]\displaystyle \mathtt{BPMD}[/tex3]
é um retângulo, o [tex3]\displaystyle \mathtt{\Delta PSD}[/tex3]
é isósceles,...! Com efeito, [tex3]\displaystyle \mathtt{BD \equiv PM \equiv MS}[/tex3]
e [tex3]\displaystyle \mathtt{\Delta PQS \sim \Delta DHB}[/tex3]
Isto posto, determinamos a medida do segmento [tex3]\displaystyle \mathtt{\overline{QS}}[/tex3]
. Segue,
[tex3]\\ \displaystyle \mathsf{\frac{\overline{QS}}{24/x} = \frac{2y}{y}} \\\\\\ \mathsf{\overline{QS} = 2 \cdot \frac{24}{x}} \\\\\\ \boxed{\mathsf{\overline{QS} = \frac{48}{x}}}[/tex3]
Por fim, determinamos a área do triângulo retângulo PQS... Veja:
[tex3]\\ \displaystyle \mathsf{A = \frac{\overline{PQ} \cdot \overline{QS}}{2}} \\\\\\ \mathsf{A = \frac{1}{2} \cdot x \cdot \frac{48}{x}} \\\\\\ \mathsf{A = \frac{48}{2}} \\\\\\ \boxed{\boxed{\mathsf{A = 24}}}[/tex3]
