O sulfato ferroso [tex3](FeSO_4[/tex3] oxida-se a sulfato férrico [tex3](Fe(SO_4)_3)[/tex3] , o equivalente grama do sulfato ferro será:

[tex3]n \ equiv_{FeSO_4}=\frac{m}{E}=\frac{85,5}{151,98}=0,563 \ equivalentes[/tex3]

Formar-se-ão 0,563 equivalentes de anidrido sulfúrico e 0,563 equivalentes de sulfato férrico.
